Making Good Use of Snow Days

We told you you'd get to see our disasters too so here's what had happened to my craft room over the past few months....The "Before"

     Looking pretty terrible!!!!!

And here's the "After," 2 full trash bags later!

I probably could've thrown a lot more away, but that's another day I guess... Now back to painting!

Snow Day!

Well, the snow in Ga has us trapped inside AGAIN!  But at least we can paint while wrapped in a warm blanket!  The stool I found in the trash is coming along, of course not how I originally envisioned but that's one of the great things about creating!  You never know where you may end up! Here's the progress so far.....

Going to add more designs and some fabric scraps tied around legs.

Here's something else I worked on to beat the boredom today....

12 x 12 Canvas - I just picked these colors, but of course it could be done with any initial and in any colors.
My next project has to be a soccer canvas for my daughter....tomorrow's Snow Day Project, I guess!  Please check back soon to see more of Heather's art. She is getting it ready to post!  Stay warm!!!

Old & New Projects

Super Bowl Night!  (I'm trying to sound excited about that, ha ha.)  Here are some pics of upcycled items ....Enjoy!

This was an old piano bench (I think!) someone was trashing.  After a coat of blue paint with polka dots, it ended up with a new glass top on someone's porch.

Sign I made for the AWESOME dance teachers at Joanne Collier's Studio of Dance in Rome, Ga.
It's a 12 x 12.

Another of my first projects....Someone was throwing out this old chair and DIGS asked that it be painted to be upcycled into a plant holder.  I never got to see it with the plant, but I was told it now has a happy home in someone's yard.  Check out DIGS and the great things they do at http://dev.digsrome.org/.
